About UTRGV Campus Housing Area
The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV) is providing the opportunity for educational opportunities in the RGV, including the School of Medicine, making it possible for residents of the region to benefit from the Permanent University Fund – a public endowment contributing support to the University of Texas System and other institutions.
UTRGV has campuses and research and teaching sites throughout the Rio Grande Valley. UTRGV, a comprehensive academic institution, enrolled its first class in the fall of 2015, and the School of Medicine welcomed its first class in the summer of 2016.
What was once a commuter campus for people looking to further their education and get a masters degrees is rapidly becoming a walking campus of recent high school graduates who no longer need to leave the Valley to obtain an excellent education and possibly continue in the medical program to become our future doctors.
Investment opportunities abound with the many multi unit properties that surround the university and its campus. The area is rapidly becoming a student housing area due to the lack of on campus student housing.
